          Raymond mill is suitable for grinding brittle and dry materials such as a coal, soil etc. The material is crushed between hammer blade and and serrated liners. The hammer blade are free to swing on the ends of the cross. The rotor is spun at a high speed inside the drum while material is fed into gravity feed hopper. Particle size of the ground material can be varied over a large rang by using sieves with the desired openings of Raymond mill.
